Many of the options for treating active acne include topical and oral medications. A consultation with your dermatology provider will give you the best guidance on what will work for you.

Treating active acne is important to prevent scarring which is more difficult to treat. However, scarring can happen and fortunately there are new and improved techniques for minimizing the appearance of scars. These treatments are typically not covered by insurance as they are considered a cosmetic treatment. The options we offer are:

-
Microneedling with Radio Frequency - Cutera Secret RF Laser
-
Skin resurfacing - Fractional carbon dioxide laser
-
Traditional Microneedling with PRP
-
Subcision
-
Topical human growth factors

The effectiveness of these treatments can be boosted dramatically with the use of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) which can be combined with many of the procedures, above. Your dermatology provider can make recommendations on how to use this powerful technology.
